The challenges of evaluating development interventions in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) that are focused on improving the governance of these services are considerable.
Such interventions are based on the premise that improving governance, particularly at the level of service planning and delivery, will lead to improvements in services and in the lives of community members.
This document contains a summary of the discussion that was held around this topic in the Round Table on Impact Evaluation held by IRC in Delft, The Netherlands the 13 & 14 of May 2008.
